FALL 2008 KID'S FITNESS CLASSES

A.B.C. This class is an introduction to the basic skills of
Athletics, Ball handling, and eye-hand, eye-foot Coordination activities incorporated with a half hour of our Movement Education program. This is a perfect starter program for pre-school and first grade students. Gymnastic shoes required.

SPORTS COORDINATION & FITNESSFor the more focused child this fun class will work on eye-hand, eye-foot skills that are needed for all sports. Kicking, batting, dribbling, throwing, catching skills, as well as speed and strength, will be developed. A good skill training starter program for those interested in athletics and team sports.

FUN FITNESS This Fun Fitness program is designed not only for children that are overweight, but also for those that enjoy staying fit. We let children become aware of their physical ability, provide them with alternative means of fun activities, and we improve their strength and endurance skills. Every child will be educated about reasonable food consumption, and how we are effected by our daily diet. After all, “we are what we eat.” The program is offered two days a week: Tuesday and Thursday for one hour each. The training consists of a 45-50 minute workout on Fun Fitness equipment for stretch training and aerobic games to develop endurance. The cool down time offers a discussion to reinforce goals set each week regarding foods, beverages, and activities that promote a healthier body.
2-day/week workout is highly recommended!

JUNIOR ROCK CLIMBING A six week introductory class to rock-climbing for children. Learn basic climbing techniques, knots, belaying, and climbing commands. With all the equipment provided, they will experience a fun addition to their ordinary fitness activities.
Age 9+, Course 607, 1 ¼ hrs.
